Salesforce Integration Set Up
How to set up an integration between Halda and Salesforce
The Halda / Salesforce integration can provide a powerful way to allow Halda data to flow seamlessly into your CRM and remove manual effort required by your team. There are three distinct phases to setting up the integration correctly. These phases are outlined below:
Phase 1 - Creating a connected app in Salesforce
(~20 minutes)
-
Login to Salesforce.
-
Click Setup in the upper-right corner.
-
From Setup, enter Apps in the Quick Find box, and select App Manager.
-
Click New in the Connected Apps area.
The New Connected App page is displayed. -
Complete the information in the Basic Information area:
-
In the Connected App Name field, type the HaldaAPI
The API Name field is populated with the name entered in the Connected App Name field. -
In the Contact Email field, enter your email address.
-
-
Complete the information in the API (Enable OAuth Settings) area:
-
Select Enable OAuth Settings.
-
In the Callback URL field, replace [accountid] with your organizations id in the following URL and then copy and paste into the connected app settings: https://app.heyhalda.com/accounts/[accountId]/settings/integrations/salesforce/callback
-
Tip: If you login to the Halda app, go to the home page for your account. The URL will look something like this: https://app.heyhalda.com/accounts/{accountId}
That last part is your account ID, go ahead and use that account ID when creating the callback URL above.
-
In the Selected OAuth Scopes field, use the right arrow button to move the following from the Available OAuth Scopes list to the Selected OAuth Scopes list:
-
Manage user data via APIs (api)
-
Perform requests at any time (refresh_token, offline_access)
-
-
Locate and uncheck the checkbox Require Proof Key for Code Exchange (PKCE) Extension for Supported Authorization Flows
-
Click Save at the bottom of the screen.
-
You will need to wait 10-20 minutes before the connected app can be used. You will not be able to continue to Phase 2 until this part is ready.
Phase 2 - Connecting Halda to your Salesforce instance
(~15 minutes)
-
View the Halda Connected app and click manage consumer details
-
Find the consumer key and consumer secret. These will be used when you setup the integration on Halda’s App
-
Login to Halda
-
Click the top right menu
-
Click Integrations
-
Find the Salesforce Integration and click connect
-
Enter credentials for the integration user.
Phase 3 - Mapping objects and fields
(30-45 minutes)
-
Once these steps have been completed, Halda will work with you to map the objects and fields. This ensures that all of the data collected by Halda will be mapped to the appropriate fields on your Salesforce records before exporting.
Phase 4 - Connecting your 2-way Integration
(10-15 minutes)
